A “chargeback” is a transaction reversal (money returned) back to the customer for non-agreed upon activity committed by either merchants and consumer.
An example is if a traveler purchases a vacation to Fiji and upon arrival the hotel is not anywhere close to what was promised, they can request that the travel agency fix the problem and if they do not, they can request a “chargeback” due to fraudulent advertising of their product.
